I relate to your struggle of wanting to grow to quick a lot. I used to crumple up so many drawings when I first got into drawing as a hobby, I would look at all the imperfections instead of being happy with what looked good. I would hide them away in my scrapped box, my art was stuck at a plateau, it wouldn't get any "better", it wouldn't evolve. Once I got out of that mindset and looked at the good in my work, I found more enjoyment in making art and I got better, slowly but surely, piece by piece they improved, they looked more how I envisioned them, they evolved.
