Hi just wanted to give a small update, so I've only posted like 3 new peices of art so far this month despite posting art super frequently during both November and December of last year and there's a reason why.

January sucks ass and it makes me very unmotivated.

I have also been on a bit of a creative block the past couple weeks as well. Like, I WANT to make more art l just can't get myself to do it cause i can't think of anything. I'm not burnt out by the way, I actually do enjoy making and posting art frequently because I find drawing super often really fun, it's just I haven't been able to get myself to make anything, and for that I do apologize.

Some good news though, I am trying to work on a very, VERY minor redesign for Charlotte, it's nothing super crazy, I just wanted to fix some parts of her design that I wasn't completely 100% vibing with. Mostly just changing her proportions a tad, making her shorter cause I realized her first design was way taller than I actually wanted her to be, and also I've been simplifying her design a little bit to make her easier for me to draw. I'm currently working on her new ref sheet, I'm not 100% sure if I'll post that to the art portal though.

I've really been wanting to make more art and comics using Charlotte but I haven't been able to get myself to think of anything to do anything with her and I've been procrastinating on the new ref sheet a little bit. :/

Super Mario Maker 2 pretty much fell off after 2021 but if Super Mario Maker 3 ever comes out i really wanna make my own big ass Super World campaign. I've been having so many ideas for one in the back of my mind for like half a year now and I would love to make a Super World with them. My idea is a traditional style campaign in either the SMB or NSMBU gamestyle with around 30-40 levels that has level design inspired by a combination of the older games and New Super Luigi U of all games, and also a shit load of other platformers I've played like Mighty Switch Force! and shit.

I want to be the Mario Maker. >:3

I decided I didn't want to do monthly playlists that compiled all my art anymore as I felt like it was a hassle and unnecessary since people can just look through my gallery anyway. So that's why the playlists "Chrono's Art 2024" (the playlist that compiled all my previous art from November-December 2024) and "Chrono's Art January 2025" (the playlist that compiled my art from January 2025) have been deleted and are unavailable. I still want to make playlists but it's going to be for specific things like OCs, series, and other stuff from now on as I feel like monthly playlists are just kinda unnecessary. You may disagree but that is just my personal thoughts about it.

Does anyone actually write anything in the "Other Favorites" section of their profile? Basically it's so you can put any media you like that doesn't have to necessarily be NG related. Here's mine as of now for an example:

From most of the profiles I've seen people barely even use this and just leave it blank so I'm just genuinely curious if there is anyone else who actually uses this at all.

I just want to say, thank you. I really needed that advice and help. I genuinely appreciate the stuff you guys said earlier.

I guess I kind of forget I'm still at the starting point and the fact that I'm still only 16 (turning 17 this year). I still have a long way to go as an artist and I think I just need to realize there's no point to compare myself to people with a lot more experience than me when I'm only still just starting.

It's not like I'm in a rush anyway, despite loving doing art I don't really have an interest in turning this into a job (at least right now) and I probably should just chill out and have fun with it by evolving naturally at a pace I can be comfortable with instead of burning myself out completely by trying think I have to "compete" with people who are on a completely different skill level than me and who have had a longer time to grow and develop as artists.

That's not me saying I don't wish to improve at all, it's that I just need to take my time with it instead of forcing it.

I guess I kind of have a problem with when I REALLY get into a hobby, I feel like I HAVE to get good at it quickly instead of just taking my time to understand the basics of it and just having fun with it until i can make or do something that I'm actually happy with or proud of myself, my bad.

Once again thank you, and especially to @ShangXian , I'll definitely keep your advice and suggestions in mind for later, but I'll do it at my own speed instead of forcing it all at once like I was probably going to do.

Hey guys, I don't really like asking questions like these cause to me they kinda feel like "fishing for compliments" which is why I never ask these kinds of questions but I am genuinely curious, what do YOU like about my art?

Sometimes I look at my art over and over again after I post it and I constantly rethink it over and over again in my head. I constantly feel like the overly-positive reviews from people are just them being nice to a somewhat beginner and amateur artist. I feel like I'm going crazy a little, people on here say "This is good!" but I look back at it and I just think "I really shouldn't have posted this."

Once again, I fuckin' HATE asking these types of questions cause I feel like I'm begging for easy free sympathy and praise from others which I don't want at all, but it's just been something that's been on the back of my mind lately.
